Course Description: This course provides attendees with an overview of the technologies available to track, monitor, and maintain equipment and to represent, locate, and communicate with remote facilities and equipment. In this course, you will gain an understanding of equipment drawings, data, and information. There will be a focus on Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), Geographic Information System (GIS), and Global Positioning System (GPS).
This course takes into consideration the Association Board of Certification Need-to-Know Criteria for water treatment operators.

Learning Objectives:

Describe, utilize, and evaluate equipment monitoring technologies

Discuss features and functions of GIS and GPS

Compare the benefits and drawbacks of different remote communication technologies
Learning Elements: pre-recorded presentations, online learning activities, videos, quizzes, discussion boards, weekly tests, and homework assignments.
Requirements:
