Course Description: Enforcement - including criminal prosecutions - for violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act and Clean Water Act is here and likely accelerating. As high profile events have focused the public's attention on water safety, states have taken notice and begun to engage in a series of high profile investigations into the water sector while EPA is quietly ramping up its own enforcement efforts. In response to this trend, "Compliance and Enforcement" was developed to provide operators and managers with the insights they need to carry out their duties and operate in compliance with these laws. Well informed operators and managers are the key to protecting the public they serve, and this course provides them both an understanding of the enforcement landscape and practical strategies to meet that goal in an era of increasing scrutiny.
