Utility Risk and Resilience Certificate Program (EL265)
Certificate Program Length: 10 Hours/1.0 CEU*
Course Description: This certificate program will provide a foundation for supporting a water utilities development of an all-hazards approach to risk and resilience management. The certificate program is based on several AWWA standards and associated resources (G430, G440, J100, and Cybersecurity Guidance) that facilitate compliance with provisions of America’s Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) of 2018, which must be met as soon as March 2020. Students will learn about AWIA requirements for risk and resilience assessments and emergency response plans. This will include examples of how a utilities application of various AWWA standards and resources can aid compliance with AWIA.
We recommend taking these courses in sequential order, starting with the free Certificate Program overview course, Facilitating Compliance with America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 (EL260).
The courses included in the Certificate Program are:
Facilitating Compliance with America's Water Infrastructure Act of 2018 (EL260)
Security Practices for Operations and Management (EL261)
Risk and Resilience of Water and Wastewater Systems (EL262)
Emergency Planning (EL263)
Cybersecurity in the Water Sector (EL264)

Certificates of Completion: AWWA will award a Certificate of Completion upon success passing of this course. This does not automatically imply that your state agency will award you CEUs. It is the individual's responsibility, before registering for any continuing education credit program, to contact the appropriate licensing agency.
