Course Description: What is your management style? Do you have one? This course will introduce you to the different management styles. Discover how utility supervisors and managers develop their management skill set and workforce to improve productivity while reducing public risk. The course focuses on professional needs, meeting employees’ needs, motivation, and leadership roles.
This course consists of the following two modules:
Module 1: Management Functions
Module 2: Management Styles
Learning Objectives:
• Compare management vs. supervision.
• Develop your conflict management skills.
• Describe different management and supervision styles.
• Analyze the strengths of different styles of work and determine the best time to use them.
Certificates of Completion: AWWA will award a Certificate of Completion upon success passing of this course. This does not automatically imply that your state agency will award you CEUs.
